Wedding Videography FAQs | Clear Answers to Your Questions

Do I need a videographer? Absolutely, yes! Many couples tell us that not hiring a videographer was their biggest post-wedding regret. Photos are wonderful, but they can only capture so much. A wedding film brings your day to life—the laughter, the tears, the vows, and the little moments you might have missed. When you look back at your wedding in years to come, you won’t just want the beautiful photos; you’ll want the movie too.

When we think of videographers we sometimes think of huge shoulder mounted cameras but these aren't usually used at weddings. We use mirrorless Panasonic lumix cameras which are the same size as a DSLR camera. We usually only need one tripod and a monopod. Depending on your venue and timings we sometimes use some very minimal lighting.

Yes, we absolutely do! We’re more than happy to travel to capture your special day, no matter where it takes place. However, depending on the distance, there may be a travel fee to cover transportation and accommodation costs. This ensures we can provide the same high-quality service and attention to detail, no matter the location.

Yes we are fully insured and this includes public liability insurance.

The turnaround time for your wedding film depends on our current workflow, but you can typically expect your final edit to be ready within 6-8 weeks. For couples who can’t wait to relive their favorite moments, our Timeless and Vintage packages include a 48-hour turnaround on social media reels. These teasers are perfect for sharing with friends and family while you wait for the full film. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated throughout the process and deliver a wedding film you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Not at all—this isn’t our style, and we’re the perfect fit for camera-shy couples. We understand that your wedding day is about you, your partner, and your guests enjoying the moment, not about posing for the camera. Our equipment allows us to capture every detail discreetly from a distance, so you’ll hardly even notice we’re there. We don’t do ‘interview-style’ videos or put you or your guests on the spot for comments. Instead, we focus on capturing everything naturally as it happens

We want to be there for your whole day to capture as much as possible so a meal on the day would be gratefully received. Do ask your caterers as they often provide a subsidised rate for suppliers. We don't, however, insist on being fed and understand that budgets can be tight so we won't be offended at all. You must however tell us if you do not intend to provide a meal. This is so that we can make our own arrangements. If a meal isn't provided we may be off site for 1 - 2 hours depending on your location. That could inevitably result in some moments being missed but.
